Local Data Storage
All your learning data—including custom flashcards, saved vocabulary words, custom phrases, and user preferences (such as custom color themes and appearance settings)—is stored locally on your device in a private database using Room (SQLite) and local device preferences. This data remains strictly on your device and is never sent to our servers or any third-party services.
Offline Operation & No External Communication
Hola Español Stack operates entirely on your device without requiring an internet connection. All educational content, including flashcard decks, stories, grammar lessons, radio clips, vocabulary categories, and quizzes, is bundled directly within the app. The app does not make external network requests or transmit data to any third-party APIs or remote servers.
Device Backups
The app supports standard Android Auto Backup (tied to your Google Account). This allows your app data and custom vocabulary to be securely backed up and restored via Google's system services when you switch or restore your device. This backup process is managed entirely by Android's operating system, and we do not have access to your backups or your Google account.
Analytics & Tracking
We do not use analytics tools, crash reporting libraries that collect personal data, tracking cookies, or advertisements. No usage data or learning progress is collected or tracked.
No Accounts Required
You do not need to register, log in, or create an account to use the application. Your learning journey remains completely private and anonymous.
Permissions
The app does not request or require access to sensitive device permissions, such as your location, contacts, camera, or microphone.
